The History guide

Contains information on the history of the city. Although not a comprehensive reference, the history guide contains a brief introduction as well as information on the following periods: Ancient (Pharaonic), Graeco-Roman, Early Arab, Fatimid, Ayyubid, Mamelouk, Ottoman, Nineteenth Century, and Modern. A Sixteenth Century historic map is also available.


The Visitor guide

Contains general tips for visitors, information for people traveling on business, or moving to Cairo, as well as maps, information on accomodation, restaurants, communication (Telephone, Internet, etc) and foreign embassies. Transportation information includes local transportation and car rental, taxis (cabs), the subway system, airline offices, and general guidelines on how to reach Cairo. For tourists, there are suggestions for monuments and places to visit: Ancient Egyptian (Pharaonic) monuments, Christian Coptic sites, Islamic sites, and modern attractions.


The Gallery

Includes maps as well as links to photographs of monuments and modern attractions, and historic pictures.


The Auditorium

Contains audio and song clips related to Cairo and its culture.


Miscellaneous
